Established as a memorial to Ms. Harp, an oncology nurse and a University of Alabama School of Nursing graduate who was killed in a tragic automobile accident, through a generous gift from Dr. J. Patrick Daugherty, family, and friends. Criteria: current enrollment in the oncology concentration of the MSN degree, a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, and evidence of marked achievement or potential for marked achievement in oncology nursing. This scholarship addresses the health needs of Native Hawaiians by helping to assure an adequate supply of appropriately trained health professionals to serve the underserved Native Hawaiian population. Program participants must be: Native Hawaiian; Residents of the State of Hawaii; Enrolled or accepted for enrollment into accredited health professions training programs needed by the program; Eligible for appointment as a Federal employee in the US Public Health Service.

National Health Service Corps Scholarship
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or National accepted or enrolled in a U.S. school of allopathic medicine, osteopathic medicine, family nurse practitioner, nurse midwifery, or physician assistant. Approved primary care specialties are family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology, family nurse practitioner, physician assistant, and nurse-midwife. NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program
For each full or partial scholarship year, the recipient will incur two types of service obligation: 10-week Summer Laboratory Experience. After each year of the scholarship, students will serve for 10 weeks as paid summer research employees in an NIH research laboratory. This employment occurs after the receipt of the scholarship award. Each scholar will be assigned to an NIH researcher and an NIH post-doctoral fellow, who will serve as mentors. Students will also attend formal seminars and participate in a variety of programs. Employment at the NIH After Graduation. After graduation, scholarship recipients are required to serve as full-time employees in an NIH research laboratory. The recipient must serve 1 year of full-time employment for each year of scholarship.

Nina Brookins Scholarship Fund
To qualify for an FNF scholarship, your must be admitted and enrolled in an accredited State of Florida nursing program. Eligible students include those in associate, baccalaureate, and or Master's programs. You must also be a resident of Florida at least on year.

North Carolina Education Scholarship Loan Program
This program is available through the financial aid offices of North Carolina colleges and universities that offer nurse education programs which prepare students for licensure in North Carolina as an LPN or RN. Awards are based upon financial need as well as other factors such as academic performance. The amount of the award depends on the degree the recipient is pursuing. Recipients must fulfill a work commitment after graduation. To apply contact the financial aid office at the participating NC college or university offering the level of nurse education desired. Recipients must execute a promissory note. Students are encouraged to apply early in the school year.
