Summary: a registered professional nurse provides direct and indirect patient care through the application of the nursing process, which includes, assessment, planning implementing and evaluating care rendered. care provider will address physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, and discharge needs of the patient and his/her family. the registered nurse guides and supervises assigned nursing personnel, collaborates with other health care professionals, coordinates ancillary staff, functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the hospital and within the legal framework of the state. demonstrates professional growth and accountability. provides direct patient care primarily for patients age 12 and up.
